 Mediacom's addition of 54 high definition channels brings a 120% boost to customers' HD lineup, and the channels will be automatic additions to customers' existing subscriptions. The move more than doubles the number of HD channel choices available to viewers in an eight-county area of north-central Iowa.
New HD channels include ABC Family, Hallmark, and NBC Sports Net in Mediacom's HD Family lineup (channels 876, 879, and 827, respectively). HD versions for FOX Business, CBS College Sports, NFL Network and six other sports channels are new HD channels coming to the Sports and Information Package. To view HD channels included in Family Cable, Digital Packages or Premium subscriptions, customers need to use an HD television connected to an HD receiver (set top box) or cable card. When equipped for HD reception, there is no extra cost for Family Cable customers to receive the HD Family Cable lineup. HD Family channels are generally located between 803 and 879 and include HD broadcasts from local television stations. |
